Once set, the BC 2000 will control the drying process automatically guaranteeing a degrade free drying. The BC 2000 is able to do this because it contains the drying parameters of 98 wood species. To provide for as gentle a drying as possible the control system splits the drying process into three phases: heating, drying, and cooling.

To enable the operator to monitor the drying process, current values can be displayed by the control unit. At the end of the drying run, the variables at each stage of the process can be reviewed. The values measured by each of the moisture probes can be displayed at anytime during the drying process. This enables the operator to identify any possible highly deviating values which can then be excluded from determining the average value. BC 2000 allows the storage of up to 10 drying programmes which can be recalled on request.
