How a Dehumidifier Works

1. Air is drawn into the  unit by a fan
2. Air passes over a cold surface
3. As the air is cooled, it’s moisture condenses
4. Water falls into the container
5. Air is re-heated by the heat recovery system
6. Air passes back into room 2°C warmer and considerably dryer
7. Defrost system automatically  de-ices unit as necessary
8. Unit switches off automatically when container is full
9. When the unit achieves the selected level of dryness it switches off automatically

The Application

Huge costs are incurred every year through inflated building maintenance costs and damaged inventory as a result of dampness. EIPL dehumidifiers are effective solutions to environmental control problems. Excess humidity in your premises results in corrosion, mold growth and condensation. By installing an EIPL dehumidifier controlled humidity conditions can be maintained to provide protection in larger commercial areas and buildings.

Why Choose EIPL?

EIPL is Europe’s leading manufacturer of dehumidifiers and is a name that you can rely on. No matter how extreme the conditions EIPL’s efficiency copes comfortably even at the coldest temperatures. All units incorporate a humidistat which enables you to choose the level of dryness to  minimize running costs and ensure that there is no over-drying.

The Problem

Excess humidity in your warehouse, office factory or shop results in corrosion, mold growth and rotting. Enormous costs are incurred every year through damage to inventory and through inflated building maintenance costs as a result of dampness. Even if your building seems dry during the day, at night when the temperature falls the humidity rises and the condensation process begins. The EIPL CD range of dehumidifiers are ideal solution for humidity control, in a wide variety of applications including offices, apartments, stores, restaurants, museums, store rooms and cellars.

The Dehumidifier

EIPL dehumidifiers are effective solutions to environmental control problems. The CD range of units, are high capacity dehumidifiers, designed to operate efficiently. The fan draws the moist air through the cold evaporator coil, which cools the air below its dew point. Moisture forms on the evaporator coil and is collected in the condensate tray.  Continuous circulation of air through the dehumidifier gradually reduces the relative humidity within the area.

EIPL dehumidifiers are effective solutions to environmental control. Designed to control humidity in medium volume areas, the CD85 is a compact unit suitable for shelf mounting or free standing installations. Typical extraction being up to 35 liters of water in 24 hours.

Two versions are available, manual, dial control, or for a more precise control the digital version. The digital version also provides a constant display of the room humidity level. Operation is simple, switch the unit on and dial in the desired humidity level.

The Status indicator panel, provides a visual indication of the drying process and also fault indication should drain the outlet become blocked.

The CD85 incorporates a high capacity backward curved fan making the unit suitable for ducted installations. The washable air inlet filter ensures the internals are kept clean and therefore reduces possible early failure due to dust etc. The temperature sensitive “Hot Gas” defrost system ensures max performance by only defrosting when required, and also quick and efficient clearing of ice from the coils when needed, typically in ambient of less than 18°C.

The CD85 is equipment with an internal condensate pump. This pump allows the water to be pumped to a maximum height of approx. 0.5m, and ideal for installations where a small lift is required on the drainage outlet.
